CONTRAST THERAPY

Contrast therapy is the use of saunas and cold plunges to alter between hot and cold temperatures which stimulates blood circulation and reduces inflammation. It can be used to treat muscle soreness, injuries, and other conditions that cause swelling or inflammation, and dopamine release. We created an outdoor garden space for individuals and the community to benefit from these amazing tools.

We typically recommend starting by sitting or lying in one of our three saunas for a 15-30 minutes to warm up your body. The therapy is effective whether you use our traditional or infrared sauna. After the sauna, take a cold plunge! We suggest 3-5 minutes in the cold tub at 40-50 degrees. This process can be repeated several times, with the duration of each immersion being adjusted based on the specific needs and condition of the individual.

Contrast therapy is thought to work by causing blood vessels to constrict and dilate in response to the changes in temperature. This can help you to improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. Other benefits include reducing muscle spasms, improving range of motion, and overall mood!
